L'École des loisirs in New york

Institut français

Following Canada, India, Israel and Algeria in November 2015, it will be New York’s turn to celebrate the 50th anniversary of L’École des loisirs, with exhibits and encounters with the authors of this publishing house devoted to children’s literature, in December 2015.

In New York, the Cultural Services of the French Embassy will exhibit, up until December 20, 2015, original drawings by the authors and illustrators of L’École des loisirs, as well as rare reprints of timeless classics, such as Max et les Maximonstres (Where the Wild Things Are) by Maurice Sendak, Zou by Michel Gay, Le plus malin by Mario Ramos, and more.
Four authors from this publishing house – Dorothée de Montfreid, Mathieu Maudet, Magali Bonniol and Malika Ferdjoukh – will lead creative workshops during the month of December at the Albertine bookshop, Moma Design Store of Soho as well as at the Invisible Dog Art Center of Brooklyn.
